Sana'a University was established in 1970 as the first and the primary university in the Yemen Arab Republic, now the Republic of Yemen. It is located in Sanaa, the capital of Yemen, and is currently organized with 17 faculties.

The College of Education - Aden was established in December 1970, and UNESCO had a good contribution to this establishment. And another coming through UNESCO. The first batch of the diploma course graduated in 1972 with a strength of (40) male and female students. The foundation of the College of Education in 1970 and Nasser’s College for Agricultural Sciences in 1972 was the launching point of the University of Aden.

University of Science and Technology, Yemen USTY is a private for-profit university in Sanaa, Yemen. The university is led by an independent Board of Trustees and offers programs that lead to bachelor's, master's, and PhD degrees. It also operates the separate University of Science and Technology Hospital where medical students are also based as part of their education.

The establishment of Lusaka Apex Medical University has therefore full support of the National Authorities under the Public-Private Partnership arrangement. It pushes the bar upwards by focusing on relevant training in line with developments of technologies and techniques in the medical and health field globally. It brings in efficiencies associated with the private sector.

The University of Zambia is a public university located in Lusaka, Zambia. It is Zambia's largest and oldest learning institution. The university was established in 1965 and officially opened to the public on 12 July 1966. The language of instruction is English.
