About Medical College
Government Medical College, Kannur (also known as Paraiyaram Medical College) was founded in March 1993 at Pariyaram, Kerala, India. In India, it was the first medical college to be founded in the cooperative sector.
The Kerala State Co-operative Hospital Complex (KCHC) and Centre for Advanced Medical Services Ltd. is a Co-operative Society established under the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act 1969 with the goal of constructing a 1000-bed super-specialty hospital with modern medical facilities and a medical college in Kerala. Kerala State Co-operative Hospital Complex and Centre for Advanced Medical Services Ltd. founded the Academy of Medical Science (ACME) Charitable Trust, which is under the direct administration of KCHC. The aforementioned society was established in November 1993 under the Societies Registration Act 1860 with the primary goal of operating a medical college.
Students Life
The first class began in 1995 with a hundred pupils. The state government seized control of the institutions' management on February 9, 1997. The government has established a Board of Control to oversee the operations of KCHC and ACME. The takeover was initially for a two-year period, which ended on February 8, 1999. Until December 2, 2000, the period was extended six months at a time. The ordinance that took over the assets and liabilities of both KCHC and ACME revoked this act. During this time, the institute's current facilities and structure were constructed with government funds approved by then-chief minister Shri E K Nayannar.
At a cabinet meeting presided over by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on April 11, 2018, it was decided that Pariyaram Medical College would be taken over by the Kerala government once more. Later, a decree signed by the Governor took control of the administration. On June 4, 2018, it was renewed for another six months. It is still under the control of the Board of Control, with the District Collector as its chairman.
The institute now has a CBSE school that runs from kindergarten to 12th grade, as well as a Dental College, Pharmacy College, School of Nursing, College of Nursing, and Paramedical College.

Procedure for NEET Seat Allotment in Government Medical College Kannur
Online registration is available
Candidates must register online on the official website using their registration number and password once the NEET results are released. Candidates will be allowed to participate in the counselling and, as a result, the seat allocation process once they have registered.
Seat Locking And Filling Options
Candidates must select their preferred medical/dental college as well as the course they wish to pursue. After the options have been filled in the appropriate sequence, they are locked and safeguarded for subsequent actions.
