About Medical College
The Medical Council of India sanctioned the establishment of KMCT Medical College in 2008, with an intake of 100 MBBS seats. Kerala University of Health Sciences is associated with the college. The MBBS course received recognition from the Central Government in 2013. In the academic year 2015-16, postgraduate studies in Orthopaedics and Pharmacology began, and in the academic year 2020-21, postgraduate courses in additional specialties began (Microbiology, Community Medicine, General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Anaesthesiology, Psychiatry, Radiology & Pulmonary Medicine).

In the academic year 2015-16, postgraduate studies in Orthopaedics and Pharmacology began, and in the academic year 2020-21, postgraduate courses in additional specialties began (Microbiology, Community Medicine, General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Anaesthesiology, Psychiatry, Radiology & Pulmonary Medicine). With the agreement of the Central Government, the number of students enrolled in the MBBS programme was increased from 100 to 150 for the academic year 2016-17.
The Medical College is connected to the KMCT Medical College Hospital, a multispecialty tertiary hospital with around 720 beds. Basic general units and related specialties are well-equipped and staffed across the hospital complex. The hospital's cardiology, neurology, and nephrology departments are well-run. Our students have excelled in extracurricular activities, winning trophies and medals at the Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur's arts and sports competitions. They've also taken first place in intercollegiate quiz competitions in a variety of medical sciences fields. The college has an Alumni Association that meets once a year and offers valuable suggestions for the institution's progress.
Students Life
The pass rate of students admitted in the 2008 batch and who completed the degree in 2013 is 100 percent, which is the highest in Kerala. Following that, two more batches completed the course with a pass percentage of 96.2 and 86.88, respectively, which is the highest pass percentage under both the Calicut University and the 3rd respondent University. This college's students have achieved good rankings in the All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (Rank No.10) and the Kerala Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (Rank No.10 and 15).
In the postgraduate admission tests, there have been candidates who have received Rank No. 50, 91, 130, and so on. Many of this college's students are pursuing higher education at nationally recognised universities. One of our students from the 2009 batch received the second highest score in the University of Calicut's 1st MBBS University Examination. Another student from the 2010 batch received a gold medal for placing first in Anatomy of the First MBBS Examinations at KUHS. In the inaugural MBBS Examination, one student from the 2013 batch received the 15th position.
About City
Kozhikode was the capital of Malabar during the time of Zamorins, who where ruling before the British Rule in India. It was trading in spices like black pepper and cardamom with the Jews, Arabs, Phoenicians and the Chinese for centuries, and with the Dutch and Portuguese more than 500 years ago. The Portuguese were the first foreigners to find this land, the gateway to Kerala, famous for spices. This city is famous for receiving Vasco da Gama in 1498. He landed on the remote beach of Kappad, which is 18 km away from the Calicut City.

MBBS Admission Procedure
Procedure for NEET Seat Allotment
Online registration is available
Candidates must register online on the official website using their registration number and password once the NEET results are released. Candidates will be allowed to participate in the counselling and, as a result, the seat allocation process once they have registered.
Seat Locking And Filling Options
Candidates must select their preferred medical/dental college as well as the course they wish to pursue. After the options have been filled in the appropriate sequence, they are locked and safeguarded for subsequent actions.
Results of Seat Allotment are Announced
The candidates' filled-in preferences will be sent to be analysed, following which seats will be assigned according to the applicants' preferred order.
Report To The Allotted College
Candidates must report to the colleges assigned to them once the seats have been verified in the third step. If the candidate does not pay the admission fee, the allotted college maintains the right to assign the same seat to the next candidate.
