About Medical University
The University of Baguio (UB) is a private, Filipino, multidisciplinary, autonomous university in Baguio, Philippines. It was founded by Fernando Gonzaga Bautista and Rosa Castillo Bautista on August 8, 1948 as the 'Baguio Technical and Commercial Institute' with 80 students. The student population in 2018 was about 18,000 in its tertiary level. The University of the Philippines Baguio (UPB; Filipino: Unibersidad ng Pilipinas Baguio), also referred to as UP in the North or UP Baguio, is a public research university located in Baguio City, Philippines. It was established in 1921 through the initiative of UP alumni in Baguio and Benguet and was inaugurated as the UP College of Baguio on April 22, 1961.
It was eventually elevated to its present autonomous status as a constituent university on December 2, 2002. It is the seventh constituent university of the University of the Philippines System and is the university's flag-bearer in Northern Luzon. It is also one of the research institutions in the region through its Cordillera Studies Center, with ethnic and interdisciplinary research as well as for its efforts in conserving the biodiversity and indigenous cultures of the Cordillera Region. Being a former extension of the UP College of Liberal Arts, UP Baguio mainly specializes in the sciences, arts and humanities. It currently offers 16 academic programs through its three degree-granting units. As of 2019, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has accredited three academic programs in the university as Centers of Development, namely in the fields of biology, mathematics, and physics

From the initial five course offerings of Baguio Tech, the University of Baguio now an autonomous University, offering 21 undergraduate programs, 12 graduate programs, and 10 short-term programs; a Preparatory High School; Science High School; and a Grade School. It has grown to be an institution of close to 18,000 students and more than 400 faculty members. It now counts 12 buildings, which house 11 colleges, two high schools, and one elementary school.
The university has facilities and equipment such as science, technical, and computer laboratories; libraries; multi-purpose and function halls; an audio-visual center; a 3,500-seat gymnasium and a fitness gym; a 25m size swimming pool; a dental/medical laboratory, x-ray laboratory; a research center; and a community outreach center.

Hostel And Mess Facilities available at Baguio Central University Philippines
University has a very good hostel campus with free Wifi access. Accommodations for students are available as singles, doubles and triples. Additionally, there are separate hostels for women and men. All hostels are furnished with beds, chairs, tables, and other necessary items. Facilities within the campus include a supermarket, a clinic, a pharmacy, etc. The hostel is monitored by CCTV 24 hours a day. For Indian students on campus, Mess is also available. All students are subject to strict hostel rules. The hostel also serves Indian food.
