To keep pace and to be at par with the fast developing world, the national higher studies, research enabling modern knowledge and creating scope for education and studies are the obligations to be fulfilled.
Bangladesh University of Professionals is public university located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Established in June, 2008, BUP is one of the best universities in Bangladesh that offers courses to the students from all around the world in various fields. Bangladesh University of Professionals is administered by the armed forces of Bangladesh. The main objective of the establishment of BUP was to provide the best education to the students coming from different backgrounds.
Though, the university Bangladesh University of Professionals is one of the youngest universities in the country; the main aim of the university is to expand the knowledge in the field of national security, technology and modern science to achieve the desired human resources development of the country. There are more than 6050 students studying in this University. Out of these, 4800+ are undergraduates, 1200+ are postgraduates, and 50+ are doctorates.
There is an academic staff of more than 410 faculty members. In order to expand and integrate the existing educational and training institutes of the armed forces, they were needed to be brought under a single umbrella or authority. Thereby, the establishment of "Bangladesh University of Professionals," (BUP) took place in that process and came in to being as 31st public university of Bangladesh on 05 June 2008. BUP is a unique public university run by the armed forces with upholding the motto "EXCELLENCE THROUGH KNOWLEDGE". The youngest university is confident in furthering the knowledge in the field of national security, technology and modern science to achieve the desired human resources development of the country.

IHSM provides the opportunity to live in school dormitories and rent apartments. However, we advise to choose dormitory options for students of the first years of studies. Although modern connection capabilities highly depend on internet, postal and courier services they are still important. Many courier and postal services are available to transfer documental and non-documental goods. Along with the well-established EMS postal service, others like DHL, Express have always been available. IHSM students can receive any postal correspondence and any other messages delivered to the IHSM headquarters, which dispatch them safely to the addressees.

Hostel And Mess Facilities available at Bangladesh University of Professionals
University has a very good hostel campus with free Wifi access. Accommodations for students are available as singles, doubles and triples. Additionally, there are separate hostels for women and men. All hostels are furnished with beds, chairs, tables, and other necessary items. Facilities within the campus include a supermarket, a clinic, a pharmacy, etc. The hostel is monitored by CCTV 24 hours a day. For Indian students on campus, Mess is also available. All students are subject to strict hostel rules. The hostel also serves Indian food.
