Kabardino-Balkarian State University (KBSU); Russian: Кабардино-Балкарский государственный университет имени Х. М. Бербекова Kabardino_Balkarskii gosudarstvennii universitet imeni H. M. Berbekova, often abbreviated КБГУ, KBSU) is a coeducational and public research university located in Nalchik, Kabardino-Balkaria, Russia. It was founded on April 5, 1957.
The university is recognized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. It is one of the largest universities in the North Caucasus. Its current rector is Altudov Y.K. Kabardino-Balkarian State University has all the modern facilities in terms of infrastructure and education. The classroom is equipped with smart education systems and students are provided with the facility to learn virtually if they miss classes in campus. The university library is well-modernized and more than 30% of the seats are equipped with high-tech computer systems.

In total, there were 21 departments that trained not only school teachers, including foreign language teachers, but also civil engineers and educational agronomists. For achievements in the training of qualified specialists and the development of scientific research, Kabardino-Balkarian State University was awarded the Order of Friendship of Peoples in 1982. On December 30, 1996, by the Decree of the President of the KBR, it was named after his first rector Khatuta Mutovich Berbekov. KBSU is one of the leading scientific, educational, informational, social and cultural centers of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, and annually graduates up to two thousand specialists. In terms of equipment it occupies leading positions among other classical universities of Russia.
The aim of the Student Council is to promote the development of students’ social maturity, independence, self-organization, self-development, self-management, as well as the formation of their civic culture, active life position, preparation for competent and responsible participation in society. The objectives of the Student Council are: involvement of students in solving all issues related to the training of highly qualified specialists; development of proposals for improving the quality of the educational process, taking into account the scientific and professional interests of students; ensuring the implementation of the rights to participate in the co-management of KBSU, the evaluation of the quality of the educational process; protection and representation of students’ rights and interests in KBSU administration; assistance in solving educational, social and other issues affecting the interests of students; preservation and development of students’ traditions;

Climate
Russia's territory stretches over continents of Europe and Asia and has therefore many different climate zones. From the subtropical Black sea coast to the Far Eastern regions including southern parts of Siberia, there is mostly continental climate, with hot summers enabling outdoor swimming in rivers, lakes and hiking, and cold winters with a lot of snow, a paradise for ski holidays.
The greatest amazing thing about Russia is, given its immense size, without a doubt the diversity of climate zones, and the weather extremes. In the summer months June to late August Siberia get sub-Saharan temperatures of 35 degrees Celsius or more, vegetation is lush and pleasant. You will definitely need lots of sunscreen. Another positive side of the continental climate in the summer is that the weather can stay hot for weeks on end, interrupted only by an occasional rain shower. Summer days in June/July in northern Russia are extremely long, with the sun going down at 11pm or in some regions not at all.
Winters, November to March, are cold almost everywhere, with lots of snow, except in the southern part of the country where little to no snow comes by every year. If you do not take appropriate precautions, you can very quickly get a frostbite. Depending on where you go, take a note of the weather and equip yourself with adequate clothing. The outside temperature in the European part of Russia rarely gets below - 15 Celsius, but can drop even lower at night.
