Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (Lithuanian: Lietuvos sveikatos mokslų universitetas, LSMU) is a medical school in Kaunas, Lithuania. The present-day Lithuanian University of Health Sciences is a consolidation of two institutions of higher education, Kaunas University of Medicine and the Lithuanian Veterinary Academy. It uses the Hospital of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Kaunas Clinics and the Kaunas Red Cross Hospital as teaching hospitals.
The Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU, Lietuvos sveikatos mokslų universitetas) is the largest institution of higher education for biomedical sciences in Lithuania, successfully integrating studies, research, and clinical practice.
LSMU consists of two main academies: Medical Academy and Veterinary Academy. Students of medicine, odontology, and nursing gain their practical skills at the LSMU Hospital Kauno Klinikos, which is the largest medical institution in the Baltic States. More than 2,200 physicians and residents shoulder to shoulder with 2,400 members of the nursing staff take care of over 90,000 patients at the LSMU Hospital each year.

Kaunas is a city in south-central Lithuania. At the confluence of the Neris and Nemunas rivers, Kaunas Castle is a medieval fortress housing historical exhibitions. To the east, the old town is home to the Kaunas Cathedral Basilica, with its ornate interior, and the Gothic spires of the Hanseatic House of Perkūnas. Laisvės Alėja, a pedestrianized street lined with trees and cafes, crosses the city from west to east.
