Based primarily in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia, the Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) is a federal university made up of nine faculties. The university got the license on 6 March 1994 by the State Committee of the Russian Federation of Higher Education which grants the right to perform activities in the field of professional education. Kazan State Medical University is a multifunctional and multi-levelled state institution of higher learning in medicine. It meets both personal and social needs in acquiring education in medicine, in developing biomedical and clinical sciences, as well as broadening scientific knowledge of medical sciences.


Under the auspices of Kazan State Medical University there work a pharmaceutical and two medical colleges in Kazan, one medical college Mary EI Republic, lycee and biomedical classes on the secondary school basis. This complex educational system in the framework of the university provides the continuous higher education of medicine. Kazan State Medical University carries on an aimed preparation of experts in different fields of medicine for 10 republics, Povolzhie and Ural regions. According to the results of a rating of medical schools, KSMU takes the 16 place among 86 other universities. Founded in 1814, KSMU was the second university institution to be founded in Kazan, the third medical university institution in the Russia.

Many KSMU students are accommodated in the college's own halls of residence. It has 6 hostels for students. The curriculum for General Medicine (M.D equivalent to M.B.B.S), Dentistry and Pharmacy are righteously extensive and updated. Each subject begins with studying of the disease and emphasis is laid on epidemiology, etiology, pathogenesis, pathological physiology, pathological morphology, clinical picture, methods of laboratory and instrumental examination of a patient, diagnoses, differential diagnoses, complication, prognosis, treatment and prevention. Latin terms are given according to the International Nomenclature of different specialties. During the period of training students are taught special subjects: in succession they learn theoretical (from 1st to 3rd year) and clinical fundamentals (from 4th to 6th year) and acquire necessary practical skills. Every stage of training builds a foundation to climb up to the next level.

The teaching process includes approach, beginning with lectures proceeded by laboratory and practical work at hospitals along with in depth examination of patients, clinical duties etc. Along with meticulous teaching equal emphasis is laid on colloquial, tests, quizzes, examinations, state examinations, final Interdisciplinary test, oral answers, laboratory and written works, MCQ-tests, recording of case histories also form the part of day-to-day activity.

Climate
Russia's territory stretches over continents of Europe and Asia and has therefore many different climate zones. From the subtropical Black sea coast to the Far Eastern regions including southern parts of Siberia, there is mostly continental climate, with hot summers enabling outdoor swimming in rivers, lakes and hiking, and cold winters with a lot of snow, a paradise for ski holidays.

The greatest amazing thing about Russia is, given its immense size, without a doubt the diversity of climate zones, and the weather extremes. In the summer months June to late August Siberia get sub-Saharan temperatures of 35 degrees Celsius or more, vegetation is lush and pleasant. You will definitely need lots of sunscreen. Another positive side of the continental climate in the summer is that the weather can stay hot for weeks on end, interrupted only by an occasional rain shower. Summer days in June/July in northern Russia are extremely long, with the sun going down at 11pm or in some regions not at all.

Winters, November to March, are cold almost everywhere, with lots of snow, except in the southern part of the country where little to no snow comes by every year. If you do not take appropriate precautions, you can very quickly get a frostbite. Depending on where you go, take a note of the weather and equip yourself with adequate clothing. The outside temperature in the European part of Russia rarely gets below - 15 Celsius, but can drop even lower at night.

Documents Required for MBBS Admission

  • Valid Passport with a minimum validity of 6 months.

  • NEET qualified score card.

  • 10 class mark list

  • 11 and 12 class or equivalent certificate

  • Birth Certificate

  • Bank account statement

  • Police clearance certificate


Eligibility Criteria for MBBS Admission

  • Minimum Educational Qualification: - 10 + 2 years of education

  • Minimum Age: - 18 years

  • Candidates applying for medical courses must fulfill all the requirements listed in the guidelines of the Medical Council of India ( MCI).

Step 3: An offer letter will issue within two business days.


Step 4: Students have to pay their first-semester tuition fees directly to the university after receiving the offer letter.


Step 5: Pay your Documentation and Service Charge Fees.


Step 6: Visa and other documentation can take up to 45 days. When all procedure is over, you can fly to start your dream journey.
