Newcastle is a Russell Group University that consistently ranks in the top 20 in the UK for research power and student experience. It is the first UK University to establish a fully owned international branch campus for medicine and the biomedical sciences in Malaysia. Newcastle University Medical School is the medical school at Newcastle University in England. 


It was established in 1834 in the city of Newcastle upon Tyne and served as the College of Medicine in connection with Durham University from 1851 to 1937 when it joined Armstrong College, to form King's College, Durham. In 1963 King's College became the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. The university now uses the name "Newcastle University". While NUMed Malaysia was only established in 2009, the history and heritage of the University in the UK dates back to 1834, when a School of Medicine and Surgery was first established in the city of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Going to university doesn't mean you have to spend all your time studying. We encourage all our students to adopt a healthy work/life balance. To this end, you are encouraged to take part in student activities. Our registered Student Association oversees a whole host of clubs and societies – you are sure to be able to find one (or more) to suit your interests.

The Student Association are also responsible for hosting a number of student-led events over the year such as the NUMed Games or Winter Ball. In addition, we have excellent sports facilities at EduCity.

NUMed provides off-campus accommodation to students that is located just 10 minutes drive away from campus. Each apartment is equipped with a fridge, cooker and washing machine, as well as air-conditioning and wireless internet. In addition, there is also a swimming pool and a gymnasium. Each apartment unit can house up to 4 students.

Malaysia is a Southeast Asian country occupying parts of the Malay Peninsula and the island of Borneo. It's known for its beaches, rainforests and mix of Malay, Chinese, Indian and European cultural influences. The capital, Kuala Lumpur, is home to colonial buildings, busy shopping districts such as Bukit Bintang and skyscrapers such as the iconic, 451m-tall Petronas Twin Towers. Malaysia is a country in Southeast Asia, located partly on a peninsula of the Asian mainland and partly on the northern third of the island of Borneo.

West (peninsular) Malaysia shares a border with Thailand, is connected by a causeway and a bridge (the 'second link') to the island state of Singapore, and has coastlines on the South China Sea and the Straits of Malacca. East Malaysia (Borneo) shares borders with Brunei and Indonesia.

Malaysia is a mix of the modern world and a developing nation. With its investment in the high technology industries and moderate oil wealth, it has become one of the richest nations in Southeast Asia. Malaysia, for most visitors, presents a happy mix: there is high-tech infrastructure and things generally work well and more or less on schedule, but prices remain more reasonable than, say, Singapore.

Climate
The climate in Malaysia is tropical. The north-east monsoon (October to February) deluges Borneo and the east coast in rain and often causes flooding, while the west coast (particularly Langkawi and Penang) escape unscathed. The milder south-west monsoon (April to October) reverses the pattern. The southern parts of peninsular Malaysia, including perennially soggy Kuala Lumpur, are exposed to both but even during the rainy season, the showers tend to be intense but brief.

Malaysia is close to the equator, therefore warm weather is guaranteed. Temperatures generally range from 32°C/89.6 ºF at noon to about 26°C/78.8 ºF at midnight. But like most Southeast Asian countries, Malaysia's sun-shining days are interrupted by Monsoon season from November and February every year, and night temperatures can hit a low of about 23°C/73.4 ºF on rainy days.

Temperatures tend to be cooler in the highlands, with the likes of Genting Highlands, Cameron Highlands and Fraser's Hill having temperatures ranging from about 17°C/62.6 ºF at night to about 25°C/77 ºF in the day. Mount Kinabalu is known to have temperatures falling below 10°C/50 ºF.

MBBS Admission Procedure

Documents Required for MBBS Admission

  • Valid Passport with a minimum validity of 6 months.

  • NEET qualified score card.

  • 10 class mark list

  • 11 and 12 class or equivalent certificate

  • Birth Certificate

  • Bank account statement

  • Police clearance certificate


Eligibility Criteria for MBBS Admission

  • Minimum Educational Qualification: - 10 + 2 years of education

  • Minimum Age: - 18 years

  • Candidates applying for medical courses must fulfill all the requirements listed in the guidelines of the Medical Council of India ( MCI).


Admission procedure for MBBS

Step 1: Select your desired Medical college from our Registration Page. Fill the online application form and upload the supporting documents as mentioned. (If the college you looking not found please write to us). 


Step 2: Pay your Registration Fees.


Step 3: An offer letter will issue within two business days.


Step 4: Students have to pay their first-semester tuition fees directly to the university after receiving the offer letter.


Step 5: Pay your Documentation and Service Charge Fees.


Step 6: Visa and other documentation can take up to 45 days. When all procedure is over, you can fly to start your dream journey.
