St. Mary’s School of Medicine was founded in 1998. The Government of Cook Islands Cabinet approved the St. Mary’s School of Medicine on April 28, 1998 to operate as an educational institution of higher learning offering nursing and medical programs.
The nursing and medical programs were subsequently granted accreditation and recognition by the Government of the Cook Islands Ministry of Health on July 28, 1998.
