The University Eugenio Maria de Hostos, Uniremhos, is an educational institution stimulating thinking, creative and scientific discussion. It is an intellectual space for the development of scientific culture through the professionalization of people in different areas of knowledge and technical-professional training. The formation of the human being is assumed as a requirement and imperative of today's citizen who demands to join the development of society in its multiple expressions and the contingencies of each historical moment. 

Education responds to the needs of the present as a way of contributing to the construction of the future. In the particular framework of this University, this training takes place immersed in a climate of Christian humanism as a basis for unquestionable respect for human dignity. It is committed to the task of encouraging human beings to recreate society and guide its development in ways that enable the emergence of new conditions, increasingly more appropriate to that dignity. We assume a university education that transforms reality and generates spiritual and material wealth, since its objective is not only to prepare professionals who adapt to existing conditions, but to transform it agents. 

The subjects of this education are called to be protesters, critics and creators of values, knowledge, technology and science. In our university we also assume that the center of the educational process is the student, since their needs, interests and motivations are taken into account so that they are the axis of the educational project, the protagonist of any learning process and the promoter of their own development. and personal growth. The Eugenio María de Hostos University is an ally of personal improvement and, consequently, of the development and future of society. Through the training of qualified human resources, we contribute to design, assemble and put into operation the appropriate platform to establish justice, equity and the creation of opportunities for all.
