About University
History
The University of International Business was founded in 1992 as a School of Business, which emerged as an independent institution from the Kazakh State Academy of Management. Ten years after it was founded, it is promoted to today's University of International Business. In 2002 the university opened a branch in the Kazakh capital Astana (Nur-Sultan since 2019) .
In addition, a graduate school was opened in Almaty and a partnership with the American University of Wisconsin – Madison was established. In 2006 they agreed to work with the Riga International School of Economics and Management in Riga, Latvia, and in 2007 with the University of Bologna in Italy . Since 2008 the UIB has also been working with the European Commission to develop standards for distance learning and the accreditation system in Kazakhstan.

These programmes type the core of UIBs international tutorial agenda. New degrees planned for 2015-2016 are offered in English moreover.
