The Ural State University (Russian: Урáльский госудáрственный университéт и́мени А.М. Гóрького, Urál'skiy gosudárstvennyy universitét ímeni A. M. History
Established in 1936 the University was named after one of its founders, Russian author Maxim Gorky. It is the second oldest University in the Middle Urals (the oldest being Urals State University of Mines) and one of the most prestigious universities in Russia; preparing research, educational and managerial elite on the basis of the integration of academic process and scientific research. It offers education in dozens of scientific and educational fields including 53 graduate programs. In 2007 Dmitriy Bugrov was elected new rector, while the incumbent Vladimir Tretyakov took the office of the President, representing the University in international affairs.
Ural State Medical University was founded in 1930. Today it is a major science and education center and a home to 6000 students, both Russian and international.

The Crystal Hotel, located at the address: Yekaterinburg, Korolenko str., 5, offers rooms in the format of a student dormitory for comfortable and at the same time inexpensive accommodation for foreign and nonresident students of the Ural State Medical University with the implementation of a centralized arrangement of Russian and foreign citizens for registration and migration records at the Federal Migration Service.
Each hotel room is equipped with everything you need: a bed (orthopedic mattress, blanket, pillow, 2 sets of replaceable bed linen), a desk, a chair, a wardrobe, a bedside table. Toilet and bathroom facilities are located on the floor. Free Wi-Fi is distributed throughout the hotel. The dining room on the 3rd floor offers a full range of tasty and healthy food at affordable prices. Guests can also use the shared kitchen equipped with electric stoves, microwave oven, sinks, kitchen set and kitchenware.
The hotel`s laundry is equipped with washing machines and a tumble dryer, as well as fold-out dryers, ironing boards and irons, which are free of charge. The cost of living is from 270 rubles per person per day, which includes: round-the-clock accommodation, daily cleaning of common areas, bed linen change once a week. Hostel And Mess Facilities available at Ural State Medical University
University has a very good hostel campus with free Wifi access. Accommodations for students are available as singles, doubles and triples. Additionally, there are separate hostels for women and men. All hostels are furnished with beds, chairs, tables, and other necessary items. Facilities within the campus include a supermarket, a clinic, a pharmacy, etc. The hostel is monitored by CCTV 24 hours a day. For Indian students on campus, Mess is also available. All students are subject to strict hostel rules. The hostel also serves Indian food.

The outside temperature in the European part of Russia rarely gets below - 15 Celsius, but can drop even lower at night.
