Mission of Grigol Robakidze University Tbilisi 

1. We establish a sophisticated academic culture and create intellectual wealth: By implementing educational programmes based on scientific achievements and orienting our activities towards the student, we will prepare generations of competent specialists for Humanitarian, Social, Administrative, Medical and other spheres of high demand, who will be able to integrate into the international educational and labour markets and will take their share of responsibility for the future of the country; together with undergraduate programmes, we will develop Master’s and PhD programmes as a highly effective system for creating employees with deep/wide competences for flourishing of the social culture and economics. 

2. We institute a strong scientific-research culture: We will protect and expand general knowledge, create and share new knowledge for further development of science, for which we will invite renowned scientists and guarantee the internationalization of scientific research. 

3. We are a University community with high sense of social responsibility: We guarantee an educational service of high standard for training specialists and professional development in Adjara region; we will utilize the experience of academic and scientific-research activities for realizing the services oriented towards the country’s population. 

Vision of Grigol Robakidze University 

Tbilisi The university will develop as a recognized scientific-educational centre, primarily, in the direction of social, humanitarian and medical sciences. 

This is how we see ourselves in the educational sphere, in the context of the new public profile formation of Georgia and of the world, in other words, we find our purpose in achieving such goals as: 

1. Preparing new generation specialists with a wide range of competences, which will facilitate the development of knowledge- based economy and, therefore, the development of the multilateral hierarchy of knowledgeable society. 

2. Preparing not only the competitive specialists, but also bringing up a generation with civic consciousness, national awareness and democratic values, who will have the civic solidarity, good understanding of social and professional responsibilities and will bring a considerable contribution in the country's social-cultural development. 

3. Promoting the development of students' personal and creative potential by enlarging the possibility of international mobility and accomplishment of targeted educational, scientific and other activities. 

4. Creating an organizational system focused on global challenges in scientific-research directions, which will be the basis for creating scientific skills of the University academic personnel and preparing new scientific staff, will ensure the conservation of significant knowledge in young scientists and the need of its novel understanding, carry out activities oriented on generating new knowledge and integrate them into the international scientific academic space. 

5. Based on academic and scientific research experience, develop and complete the training, consultation-expert and clinical service system, focusing on the needs of the population, predominantly, supporting social mobility (continuous education / improving qualification)
