Yerevan “Haybusak” University was founded by academician Levon Harutyunyan in 1991. It had three faculties which offered studies in Medicine, Economics and Food Technology. In 1997 the Faculty of Humanities was opened, in 2000 the Institute of Oriental Studies and International Relations after Lazarian was joined to the University, afterwards, in 2006 – the Armenian Open University after L. Kalashian, in 2009 – the Roslin Design Institute, in 2011 – the Imastaser Anania Shirakatsi University (Gyumri), and in 2013 the Institute of Ecology and Economics also joined Yerevan “Haybusak” University.

About Medical University

Yerevan “Haybusak” University was founded by academician Levon Harutyunyan in 1991. It had three faculties which offered studies in Medicine, Economics and Food Technology. In 1997 the Faculty of Humanities was opened, in 2000 the Institute of Oriental Studies and International Relations after Lazarian was joined to the University, afterwards, in 2006 – the Armenian Open University after L. Kalashian, in 2009 – the Roslin Design Institute, in 2011 – the Imastaser Anania Shirakatsi University (Gyumri), and in 2013 the Institute of Ecology and Economics also joined Yerevan “Haybusak” University. Since 1995 the main academic activities of the University are carried out in the University campus located on 6 Abelyan street. 


The campus has all the necessary conditions to ensure modern education. Since 1996 the base clinic located in the university, since 2006 the sports hall equipped with modern facilities also functions and in August 2019 created Simulation center. In 1997-2020 the University participated in dozens of international educational exhibitions (Moscow, Aleppo, Damascus, Beirut, Tbilisi, Kiev, Yerevan, etc.) and received different awards for education quality. With the aim to more efficiently organize its academic activities, the University acquired the second building in Yerevan (15 Griboyedov street) in 2006. 


The students of Yerevan “Haybusak” University have actively participated and continue to participate in sports, cultural and social life in the Republic of Armenia and have significant achievements in these fields. Since 1997 the University functions its college which provides vocational education, and since 2005 it also operates high school. 


Currently Yerevan “Haybusak” University is the biggest non-state educational institution which provides study programs in higher and vocational professional education. It prepares high-quality professionals in specialties at the levels of higher and vocational education. Since 2001 all the study programs of the University are accredited by the state, and the graduates receive state diplomas.

Students life at Yerevan Haybusak University Armenia

The Students Council of Yerevan “Haybusak” University, reorganized in September 2019, based on the university charter and the laws of the Republic of Armenia, has the main task, is to represent and protect the interests of the student, to participate in solving the student’s various problems. During its one-year activity, the YHU SC has organized many intra-university and extracurricular activities, such as inbound tours, visits to historical museums, various sports events, charitable programs (visiting orphanages, helping needy children) and more.
It should be noted that the high level of inspiration of each member of the SC in the development and implementation of this or that program and the resilience in further planned issues.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission at Yerevan Haybusak University

  • Candidates must have passed higher secondary examination with Science subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

  • Candidates must have an aggregate of 50% in PCB or more in your 12th results.

  • Students must be 17 years or more for medical education in this university.

  • All Indian students going to study MBBS abroad have to qualify NEET exams.

Admission Process at Yerevan Haybusak University

  • Step 1: Complete the online application provided by the University. or Fill out the course registration form from our website then we will be doing all the below steps .

  • Step 2: Print out the application. Send the signed form along with the required documents listed below to the university.

  • Step 3: Scan the documents and email them to the admissions office with a subject line of 'Application for Admission' in the body of the email.

  • Step 4: Documents can be submitted only until the application deadline. Be sure to submit all documents before the final submission date.

  • Step 5: After verification of the student's documents by Medical University, the University will send the student the acceptance or rejection letter accordingly.

  • Step 6: Payment of initial fees should be done once the candidate is accepted. Upon receiving the acknowledgment letter, the student will receive their fee.

  • Step 7: Students have to do the following documentation translation, apostle attestation of the basic documents of education. 

  • Step 7: If the applicant has been accepted, they must immediately apply for a student visa . University will mail students their Invitation letters.

Hostel And Mess Facilities available at Yerevan Haybusak University

University has a very good hostel campus with free Wifi access. Accommodations for students are available as singles, doubles and triples. Additionally, there are separate hostels for women and men. All hostels are furnished with beds, chairs, tables, and other necessary items. Facilities within the campus include a supermarket, a clinic, a pharmacy, etc. The hostel is monitored by CCTV 24 hours a day. For Indian students on campus, Mess is also available. All students are subject to strict hostel rules. The hostel also serves Indian food.
