Tula State University (TSU) is the biggest state university in Tula. Since May 2006 its rector is Mikhail Gryazev, professor, doctor of technical sciences. More than 20,000 students, 400 postgraduates, and 600 foreign students from 30 countries study at Tula State University. The university consists of nine faculties, a medical institute, a center of pre-university studies, a regional center for professional development, and 73 departments.

The history of the Tver State Medical Academy opens up in 1902 when courses for dental students were arranged. In 1936 the Leningrad Dental Institute was founded. In 1954 by decision of the Soviet government the Institute was transferred from Leningrad to the city of Kalinin.

City of Ulyanovsk (formerly Simbirsk, founded in 1648) is situated on the Volga River, about 440 miles east of Moscow and has a population of 700,000.

The Ural State University (Russian: Урáльский госудáрственный университéт и́мени А.М. Гóрького, Urál'skiy gosudárstvennyy universitét ímeni A. M. Gór'kogo, often shortened to USU, УрГУ) is a public university located in the city of Yekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russian Federation. Founded in 1920, it was an exclusive educational establishment made of several institutes.

Volgograd State Medical University is located in Volgograd which is situated in the southern part of Russia on the west bank of the Volga River. It started as Stalingrad Medical Institute founded in 1935. In 1993 it received the status of the Academy, and in 2003 it was granted the status of the University. It is currently headed by the prominent Russian scientist, Academician of the Russian Academy for Medical Sciences, Professor Vladimir I. Petrov.

Burdenko of the Ministry of Public Health of the Russian Federation is known as one of the country’s leading research and teaching centers with a total of about 5,000 students. It is one of the oldest educational institutions of Russia.

Yaroslavl State Medical University (YSMU) (Russian: Ярославский государственный медицинский университет (ЯГМУ)) is a university in Yaroslavl, a city in European part of Russia. It was founded in 1944. YSMU is a large regional center of medical education and bio-medical research.

Oceania University of Medicine (OUM) is a Samoan-chartered medical school operated through a public-private partnership between the Government of Samoa and e-Medical Education, LLC, a Florida-based company. The OUM curriculum is divided into two phases: preclinical and clinical.

Alfaisal University is a private, not-for-profit (teaching-oriented) institute of higher education located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Founded in 2002 by the King Faisal Foundation as a nonprofit student-centered (a concept that needs to be properly defined) university, Alfaisal University opened its doors and admitted its first 80 students in 2008. Alfaisal's total enrollment now exceeds 2500.
