The Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences in Ulaanbaatar is a public higher education institution established in 1942. It has branch campuses in Darkhan-Uul, Sainshand, and Gobi-Altai. 150 to 205 students graduate each year. Its School of Public Health has close links with Loma Linda University, which is sponsoring tobacco-control research there. It is affiliated with the International University of Health and Welfare in Narita where students can gain clinical experience which is problematic in Mongolia.

B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) (Nepali: वी. पी. कोइराला स्वास्थ्य विज्ञान प्रतिष्ठान), is a Nepalese autonomous health sciences university. It is located in the sub-metropolitan city of Dharan in Sunsari District. The Institute is a Nepal-India cooperation. The Institute serves the health education needs of the eastern region of Nepal at primary, secondary and tertiary levels.

Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences (KUSMS) is a pioneering institution in Nepal to advance the field of health sciences training, research and services in the country. Since 1994, it has created history in initiating novel, high-quality academic programs that have changed the landscape of health in the country. Currently, almost 1500 students get admission every year in various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in nursing, dental, medical, physiotherapy and other disciplines.

Patan Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS) (पाटन स्वास्थ्य विज्ञान प्रतिष्ठान) is an autonomous, not-for-profit, public institution of higher education established in 2064 B.S. (2008 A.D.) with the charter granted by the Parliament of Nepal. The stated aim of the PAHS is to work in close partnership with the national health system to improve the health care services in the remote/rural areas primarily through producing technically competent and socially responsible health care workers.

Manipal College of Medical Sciences (MCOMS) is a private medical college at Pokhara, Nepal. It is associated with Manipal Teaching Hospital, and enrolls about 100 students each year for the MBBS medical qualification. MCOMS has two locations in Pokhara. The basic sciences campus is located at Deep Heights, and 1st and 2nd year courses are taught there.

Tribhuvan University (TU) Nepal, established in 1959, is the first national institution of higher education in Nepal. The Central Administrative Office and the Central Campus of the university are located on the north eastern façade of Kirtipur, an ancient and small town located five kilometers away from Kathmandu city center. The university covers over an area of 154.77 hectares (3042-5-2 ropanis) of land at Kirtipur.

Avalon University School of Medicine (AUSOM) (previously Xavier University School of Medicine in Bonaire) is a private medical school located in Willemstad, Curaçao, in the Caribbean. AUSOM confers upon its graduates the Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Administrative offices for the university are located in Youngstown, Ohio.

St. Martinus University is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools, and its graduates are eligible to apply for ECFMG certification, allowing them to take the United States Medical Licensing Examination and become licensed to practice medicine in the US. It is recognized by the Medical Council of India as a degree-granting university/institution. It is not accredited by the Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Education in Medicine and other Health Professions, Accreditation Commission of Colleges of Medicine, or Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders.

Xavier University (zeɪvjər) is a private Jesuit university in Cincinnati and Norwood, Ohio. It is the sixth-oldest Catholic and fourth-oldest Jesuit university in the United States. Xavier has an undergraduate enrollment of 4,485 students and graduate enrollment of 2,165. It is primarily an undergraduate, liberal arts institution.
