Ain Shams University comprises seven campuses, all of which are sited in Great Cairo. The university administration, faculties of Arts, Law and Science are all located in the main campus, El-khalifa El Mamoon Street, Abassia. The faculties of Commerce, Al-Alsun (languages), Pharmacy, Dentistry, Computer and Information Sciences, Institute of Postgraduate Childhood.

The Faculty of Medicine of Alexandria was Established in the the modern era under the decision of King Farouk I in 1942 and it was made with tremendous efforts from the (Ibrahim Pasha) and Professor of Surgery (Mohammad Mahfouz your) Professor of eyes. And have been used Abbasid secondary school to teach academic subjects.

Cairo University, also known as the Egyptian University from 1908 to 1940, and King Fuad I University and Fu'ād al-Awwal University from 1940 to 1952, is Egypt's premier public university. Its main campus is in Giza, immediately across the Nile from Cairo. It was founded on 21 December 1908; however, after being housed in various parts of Cairo, its faculties, beginning with the Faculty of Arts, were established on its current main campus in Giza in October 1929.

Helwan University is a public university based in Helwan, Egypt, which is part of Greater Cairo. It comprises 21 faculties as well as 50 research centers and productive units which connect the university with the problems of the Egyptian society. Helwan University is a member of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Universities.

The Faculty of Medicine is considered the first nucleus of Mansoura University. It was established in 1962 by presidential decree No. 1647 as a branch of the Faculty of Medicine - Cairo University, where the study began in the faculty in the same year, then East Delta University was established by Law No. 49 of 1972 and the name was modified to Mansoura University in 1973.

Menoufia University (Arabic: جامعة المنوفية‎) is located in Al Minufya, Egypt. It was founded in 1976. Today it is one of the largest universities in Egypt with 22 faculties and institutes and nearly 80,000 students across the original campus in Shebin El-Kom. Another campus was established in Sadat City in 2006, 60 km from Shebin El-kom, and 90 km from Cairo.

Tanta University offers various academic disciplines in an effective appealing environment that enhances innovation. There are medical colleges such as Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Nursing and the Nursing Technical Institute; colleges of basic sciences such as Faculty of Science, Faculty of Engineering etc.

Zagazig University is one of the Egyptian universities that was established to contribute side by side to the renaissance of Egypt and the elevation of its status. The university started as a branch of Ain Shams University in the academic year 1970/69. Zagazig University is the seventh Egyptian university in terms of the history of its establishment.
