Georgian National University SEU is one of the most distinguished universities in the higher education space of our country with a history of 20 years. The Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy, also known as Tbilisi Medical Academy was founded in 1992 by remarkable Georgian physician, pediatric surgeon, Petre Shotadze and after his demise in 1999, the academy was named after. Tbilisi Medical Academy is one of the oldest private institutions for higher medical education in Georgia. The University is also known as the best self-controlled institution which is been successfully taken forward by highly-qualified faculty staffs.

Tbilisi Open University was founded in 2002 under a name of Georgian Tax Academy by a leading scientists and experts in the field. In 2012 due to market dynamics, new management strategy and vision, university acquired its present name Tbilisi Open University. This transformation has been predated by a number of circumstances such as growing popularity of our quality education, high employment rate of our graduates and increased demand for new programs on the market.

Grigol Robakidze University university is established in 1992 in Tbilisi, Georgia. It specialises in Medical i.e. Medicine and dentistry, but also has courses in the social sciences, English and German. The university was renamed in honor of the Georgian poet and thinker, Grigol Robakidze. The MD Program Educational Program continues for 6 years and consists of 360 credits. Based on the European Credit System implementation each 19-week semester of an academic year comprises 30 credits.

Right from its start (on February 27,1918) the faculty of Medicine was under the banner of Ivane Javakhishvili State University. As the Council of Professors acknowledged the necessity of creating the independent Faculty of Medicine, by the decision of April 9, 1919 of the University Council, the Faculty of Medicine was separated from the unified Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and was established as the independent faculty.
