Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences Tehrana
Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (SBUMS) is one of the three medical universities in Tehran, the capital of Iran. It began its mission in 1961 with establishing the School of Medicine. The university is basically government funded and its fundamental cornerstones include the Board of Trustees, chancellor, and the University Council.

Shiraz University of Medical Sciences
Shiraz University of Medical Sciences (SUMS), founded in 1946, is one of the oldest medical universities nationwide. Shiraz University of Medical Sciences was first established as the "Institute of Health for Higher Education". This institute was turned into the Faculty of Medicine in 1949. "Nemazee Higher Institute for Nursing" and the School of Dentistry were founded in 1954 and 1970 respectively.

Tehran University of Medical Sciences
Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) (Persian: دانشگاه علوم پزشکی تهران, Danushgah-e 'lum Pezeshki-ye Tehran) is the largest and most highly-ranked medical university of Iran. In September 2008, Iran's Minister of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education, Dr. Lankarani, called TUMS a pioneer in research throughout the country with a noticeable lead over its peer universities.

Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland RCSI
The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) was founded in 1784 by Royal Charter from King George III, to educate surgeons who at that time were trained separately from physicians. After 1886, the training of physicians and surgeons merged, and the College began to train doctors in its Medical School. In recent times the College has developed into a major international Medical School.

Humanitas University Milan Italy
Humanitas University (Italian: Università HUMANITAS di Milano), also known as Hunimed, is an Italian private university dedicated to the medical sciences. The campus is based in the municipality of Rozzano, a part of the Metropolitan City of Milan, and is located within the Humanitas Research Hospital Campus.

University of Florence
The first university in Florence was the Studium Generale, which was established by the Florentine Republic in 1321. The Studium was recognized by Pope Clement VI in 1349, and authorized to grant regular degrees. The Pope also established that the first Italian faculty of theology would be in Florence. The Stadium became an imperial university in 1364.

University of Pisa
The University of Pisa is a public institution with twenty departments, and high level research centres in the agriculture, astrophysics, computer science, engineering, medicine and veterinary medicine sectors. Furthermore the University has close relations with the Pisan Institutes of the National Board of Research, with many cultural institutions.

University of Studies Udine
The University of Udine (Italian Università degli Studi di Udine) is a university in the city of Udine, Italy. It was founded in 1978 as part of the reconstruction plan of Friuli after the earthquake in 1976. Its aim was to provide the Friulian community with an independent centre for advanced training in cultural and scientific studies and it is an important centre for the studies of Friulian language.
